You were the first to know about the Empowered to Publish YouTube channel launching. You showed up to support me and it turned out to be a flop!

But...

I'm glad my YouTube Launch Flopped!

Here's Before I tell you why, I want to tell you how it happened in the first place.

There was a network outage in my area that left me without an internet connection.

I was prepared 1.5 hours before it was time to go live. I'd already gotten things setup. And then about 30 minutes before it was time for me to go live, everything stopped working.

I run my business from a flip phone and a laptop, so I had no alternate means to go live. I tried everything I could.

I was ALMOST able to go live using my wife's phone but that didn't work out.

​

Here's why I'm glad it flopped.

I learned more about myself that day. I learned I can bounce back quickly (like 2 minutes quickly) when I get disappointed that something didn't go as planned.

I learned I can take responsibility for my own actions without blaming someone else for why things didn't turn out the way I desired.

I learned that I trust God more than I even realized. I learned that I believe I'm so blessed that even if my YouTube launch I'd been planning for 6-8 weeks flopped, I have lots to be grateful for.

I learned that whether my YouTube launch was successful or not, what I truly believed is that it didn't define who I am. I learned that I get to be creative and use this as a growing experience.

I also learned how to prevent this from happening again (so I got a hotspot as a backup). Of course I wanted things to work out, but I'm grateful that I was still grateful even when they didn't.

Life isn't perfect and things won't always go as planned. But you can always find something to be grateful about.
